[FREE WEBINAR] Java 11 First Impressions

A little more than a year ago, we were anxiously awaiting the arrival of the newly modular Java 9. Around the same time, a new release cycle was introduced that would see new version releases every 6 months, with long-term support (LTS) releases coming only once every 3 years (or once every 6 versions).

According to a recent study from Snyk, only 8% of Java developers plan to adopt the latest version of Java following every new release, while the vast majority plan to stick with LTS releases or are still undecided.

For those of us that were waiting for the next LTS version, it’s been a really long 4 and a half years since Java 8 came out.

But now, Java 11 is here! This newest release comes with more than just long-term support, though.

Join us on November 28th, to hear OverOps’ CTO and co-founder, Tal Weiss, share his first impressions of some of the changes and new features in this version, like:

  • Garbage Collectors: Meet Epsilon and ZGC
  • Local Variable Syntax – Now for Lambda Parameters
  • Flight Recorder Goes Open Source
  • Java EE and Jakarta – State of Enterprise Java

PS. Can’t make it on the 28th? Register anyways, and we’ll send you a recording!
